This support is not designed to enable a life of leisure or create entitlement. Our goal is to provide the stability and dignity needed for priests to continue their vital vocational work.

The purpose of our fund is to bridge these priests from crisis to sustainable ministry—connecting them with opportunities to teach, provide spiritual direction, assist private chapels, and undertake other work appropriate to their calling and training.

Support Philosophy

We conduct thorough investigations of each application to ensure our support goes only to priests of good standing who have not committed any delict or criminal wrongdoing.

Unlike organizations that cap lifetime support at $30,000, the RCCI Cancelled Priest Fund recognizes that many unjustly cancelled priests may never be restored to active ministry. Without ongoing assistance, these priests often face impossible choices between their vocational duties and basic survival.

Our support can be reviewed and renewed annually by the Advisory Board, providing long-term stability rather than merely temporary relief. We welcome all eligible priests to apply, and we distribute assistance based on demonstrated need and available resources.
